PACE Family History from Gloucestershire, UK - Available on CD -

Volume I & 2 - The history of the Pace family from Gloucestershire, UK
  • History goes back to MAISEMORE, Gloucestershire.
  • Descendents migrated to
Pennsylvania, Missouri, Colorado, Alberta, Canada and elsewhere.
  • The London PACE Family of CLOCKMAKERS
was from this PACE Family line
    going back to the 1600s

The first volume of my history of the Pace Family

'THE QUICKENING' 1500 - 1750
It is the basic text without pictures and the supporting Appendix documentation.
I would like to make it available to anyone with an interest in the Pace family
though I retain the copyright.

Second Volume Vol 2

'TIME KEEPING' 1750 - 2000
with the FAMILY TREE 1500 - 2000

Details came from:-

  • Original QUAKER RECORDS in the City of WORCESTER.
  • Until about 1650 it was a very static society with quite a lot of within family marriage so the MASON clan and the PARDOE's had likely been there for centuries. If they followed the PACE pattern they then rippled out to the main local centres such as Gloucester, Worcester and Tewkesbury and later around 1750 to the developing industrial towns and of course London.
  • These Worcester,UK MASON-PARDOE connect with PACE-ARCH-MASON-HAYCOCK family of GTPace-Canada and has descendancy in US today, arriving at Philidelphia, PA and Worcester, Massachusetts - Members were Methodist preachers and carpet weavers
